Pink Perspectives

Have you seen the headlines?

Gah! There are just so many things happening in this world that make the heart sick. It’s easy to allow the atrocities of others to permeate your serenity and take captive your peace in light of current events. Fear and worry seem to be our daily companions these days.

But, a little Pink Perspective is useful to defray the doldrums of depression.

my perspective

During WWII, as London was being bombarded by bombs in the blitz, the government created public relations campaigns to cheer on the citizenry to keep those Celtic chins up and heads high with firm resolve through the dark days of war.

pink keep calm

Lost for decades, the “Keep Calm” campaign – which never really got off the ground before the end of the war – lay forgotten until a stash of old posters that had once been slated for display in the tube and other places about the city, were rediscovered recently. In this online age when the mundane can go viral in nano-seconds, these simple words of encouragement have become a popular calling card of Pink Perspective in social media memes and trendy merchandise for the times when dilemmas drag you down.

It’s a rooster’s call to wake up with joy at the morning’s light – even though there be terrors by night.

So too, as surely as there is night – there is light at daybreak arriving consistently. On time. At regular intervals.

GLORY!!

AND – even though the seasons change, there is joy and a Pink Perspective to be found in each.

pink pumpkin

Pumpkins are popping up at every road-stand market with copious quantities of colorful mums, set off by the dried death of cut corn stalks having served their summer purpose.

REJOICE in the fruitfulness of the food those corn stalks produced in their season – and the cozy harbinger of fall they have become. ‘Tis the season of repurposing when stalks are gathered in a bunch, tied up in a decorative bow, and laid against a lamppost in someone’s front yard.

PINK PERSPECTIVE – Choosing to look at life through rose colored glasses to preserve innocence, goodness, and beauty . . . and a peaceful setting in its season.

ENTER FABLE SPRINGS!

This week I launched my project to the purpose of creating, maintaining, and passing onto others the treasure of a Pink Perspective.

After ten years as a performance storyteller – “telling stories that lead to all good things and beauty” – I am asking for everyone’s generous help to assist me so I can break out of my “egg” into greater things!

Miss Kathy of Pageant Wagon Productions LLC is taking her pink perspectives into independent publishing – expanding to Pageant Wagon Publishing with the debut of my picture book and study guide series – Fable Springs Parables. The first of the series is called, Mother Chicken’s Eggs: Choosing to Grow into Greater Things – anticipated release date is this December with the second in the series following in 2015.

Everything is in place to make this happen with a talented support staff and platform resources except – the funding to finance the venture.

Pink Perspectives Fix the Problem: ENTER PUBSLUSH!

Pubslush is a crowdfunding website designed for authors and literary projects. How awesome is that? Rather than tossing the towel in surrendering to a missing piece, I have been challenged to get outside the box and take an look at the situation from a fresh perspective.

God’s Perspective! He makes the way to reach the goals on the path where He leads. He provides the tools necessary to meet the task at hand in its season!

Won’t you support my PubSlush campaign to raise and exceed the $15,000 necessary to launch my written works into print – taking me to the next level of my vocation as a writer and speaker in the ministry of telling His Story through story?

There are nine levels of giving – $10 to $1000 – with thank you gift/rewards at each level including signed 1st printing editions of the quality hardcover picture book, and signed and numbered limited edition prints of select illustrations suitable for framing by our talented illustrator, artist Noah Berge.

Click the URL to go directly to the campaign site for all the details – and the book trailer video, too!

Lately,  it’s been the Pink Perspective world of Fable Springs – looking very much like the pastoral peace of an English country village – that has kept me calm and moving on with purpose, growing into the greater things of a new season. A most welcome and necessary light in the night of disturbing headlines. The truth telling tales that live in Fable Springs must be told to light the path of God’s Pink Perspectives in these troubled times.

Won’t you come join me in the journey?

  1. Such a meaningful post. I love it.
KEEP CALM CARRY ON is printed on many things now….shirts, tea towels and etc. It’s a wonderful slogan.

  2. I love your writing style. It’s very poetic and inspirational. It was cool to learn the history behind that statement as well. I’ve seen it numerous times on my Facebook news feed. I’ll have to share that the next time I see it. 🙂

  3. Carry on. Some days it’s so much harder to do that than others. But, it is not in my own strength that I persevere. It is by and through the Lord’s power that we do indeed carry on. He is the lifter of our heads.

I’m tickled pink today – thanks for the words of encouragement!

    GOD BLESS!

I would love to hear from you--share your thoughts!
