Epilogue to “The Story”

When we last left our Holy Week Ruminations on “The Story” this past Good Friday, the Chorus mournfully exposed Jesus on the cross . . .

Chorus:

Look into His eyes

Jesus the Man.

Scorned, rejected,

Condemned to die.

With passion in His gaze,

Forgiveness on His lips,

He bought Man’s pain,

Man’s sin,

Man’s death,

Paying cash with His life.

And are you changed?

Reflective imagery followed with a prayer to ponder deeply these things in your heart . . .

But–The Story doesn’t end on a sour note nailed to a cross!

Are you ready for the Resurrection Epilogue??

Chorus:

Ready to hear about Jesus the Man

Jesus the God

Who loved me just where I am.

Ready to accept

Truth!

I am nothing without Him.

He died for me.

He died for me!

I am changed.

Narrator:

 Oh Man!

Why do you mourn so?

Why do you cry?

Don’t you know

God’s not dead . . .

He’s Alive!

Chorus:

The Light, the Shine, the Beauty

Of Creation

He restored.

Jesus!  Mighty!  Ruler!

Always intended more.

Death could not defeat Him.

He walked right out of that tomb!

Because the everlasting love of God

No sin can consume!

Selah!
