Starlight Tea and Teaching!

What a hectic Saturday I had – and not an ounce of time to post pinks for Pink Saturday – ON Saturday!  Sorry, Beverly!  Not much in the way of the color pink here – but WOW – what a “pinky” day I had hosting our first Starlight Workshop for my new Home School Resources NetworkCONSTELLATION ACADEMY!

I’m working with seven other dynamic women – including my daughter – who have various skill sets, that, culled together as one – we have the potential to really shine as service providers for homeschooling families.

Here we all are at our first monthly workshop this past weekend:

Left to right:  Erin & Kathy, our Advisory Council specializing in creative teaching techniques and working with special needs children; Bethany, my daughter, providing tutoring in high school level writing, grammar, and literature; me, I wear the title of “Director” and will be teaching elementary and intermediate level language arts, history, literature, and drama; Beth, who was one of our speakers and supports in a consultant capacity; Nikkole, our Home School Legal Defense Association Liaison; and Adrienne, a Solutions Consultant – that means she just always seems to know what to do and how to do it!  I love these gals!

I spent all day Saturday at our workshop ministering to a modest gathering of novice and verteran home school moms – including some who were considering the option because of their growing dissatisfaction with government schools.  Later that evening, I posted about the successful event on our Constellation Academy Blog.  I hope you will visit me over there under our collective pen name of “Miss Stella” – and see what I was up to all day.  I’ve included lots of photos of our lovely teatime and inspirational highlights of our three speakers – including me – so I KNOW you don’t want to miss out on that!!

Anyway – do visit me at CONSTELLATION ACADEMY where I’d love to share with you the details of our debut workshop teatime.  We’re already planning our next one for the first Saturday in April – and we’ve two events later this month, too!

This project has been so rewarding – and especially the privilege of working with such wonderful women – and sisters in the Lord.

Thanks for stopping by!  See you for tea on Tuesday!
