Daddy Day Pinks!

Happy  Father’s Day!

We’re planning a lovely cook-out for tomorrow with a couple dads near and dear to our heart – especially my own daddy . . .

Oh, that’s him with a little pink bundle of joy lifted up on his strong shoulder . . .

And, being pulled along like a princess on a sleigh barge . . .

Of course, my favorite memory of Daddy is when he would sit down to the piano and play all those great big band and boogie-woogie tunes from the 1940’s.  My sister and I would raid mom’s apron drawer and tie on two – front and back – to make great swirly skirts, then dance up a storm while dad jammed!

He’s turning 85 this year and can still jam!  I’m so very proud of him!!

So – off to the store for some food groups for tomorrow’s feast – with perhaps a nice pink watermelon for dessert!

Hope you all have a lovely day celebrating Dad – with all the pink trimmings, to boot!
