Note Card Party Debut

Oh, what fun!  Debbie at Words on Wheels just posted a bit of curiosity claiming that Vee – at A Haven for Vee – was having a Note Card Party this month.  Then followed – in typical Debbie-yakk-about-fashion – four photos from a tablesetting post I remember her posting, which she believed would make great note card images.  They would – and her good advice about eating veggies brought to you by a trio of unexpected characters is just another reason I love hanging out with the Deb-ness!

So, inspired by her post, I took a little trip to Vee’s little haven and thoroughly enjoyed myself.  Another kindred spirit in Blogland to follow – AND – another party to participate in.

A Haven for Vee

Thankfully this is a monthly party link-up rather than a weekly.  The weekly link-ups can be demanding on one’s creative juices . . .

So, in my debut of note card worthy photos from some of my past posts, I have four to submit for your general enjoyment.

First up – a little something from my garden as we mark the FIRST DAY OF SUMMER this week!

Last season, I admit.  This year everything’s coming up weeds – not roses.  And, not a butterfly to be found in the fray.  Recently posted on that dilemma HERE – and am hoping to find a cure for weed-itis.  Stay tuned all summer for that epic saga.

Then, of course, in keeping with the patriotic season coming upon us with the 4th of July just around the corner, here’s Uncle Sam extending a little invitation saying: I WANT YOU to come to tea!”

Now, for all you romantic summer lovers out there . . . my Sunset Swans . . .

And, finally, a bit of whimsey from this week’s teatime post – our good Prunella is inviting her buzzy-bee friend to tea hoping he doesn’t forget to bring the honey!  I expect she will be serving something with blueberries, don’t you?

Well, that’s it for now.  Looking forward to seeing what great note card compositions come to the party – always looking for that which inspires . . .

Sharing my Note Card Party Debut this month with at A Haven For Vee‘s Note Card Party!

  2. They would make lovely note cards. Those swans are beautiful.

  3. You’re a natural! So glad that you joined right in and this would make a sweet set of note cards. I really enjoyed Uncle Sam and all that blueberry goodness.

  4. I really love your photo of the swans at sunset! What a lovely shot. All your note card selections are very pretty.

  5. Please tell Uncle Sam that I’m on my way over for tea and one of those delicious looking fruit desserts :). On the way I’ll be stopping at the pond to watch those beautiful and graceful swans.
Lovely photos that would make very pretty note cards.
    Welcome to the party.

  6. Oh how I love each and every image you have shared! They would make great note cards for sure.

  7. Well done Kathryn, I read in a comment that you were going to take part in this meme. Absolutely gorgeous capture of the swans. I’ll have to join the fun next month.

  8. OK, “the Deb-ness” is cracking me up. I finally have a name for what ails me. I suffer from chronic Debness.

As for your pictures, I LOVE the choices! The flower photo of the first one is so vivid that I almost feel like I can pluck one of those petals. The swans need to be framed for a master bedroom. They’re just plain romantic.

I’m so glad you found the party in time to join. That’s exactly how it happened to me. I opened a blog I follow a few months ago, and there was the party. It was exactly what I needed to jump start the engines.

An added bonus? You will thoroughly enjoy the blog “A Haven for Vee” on a regular basis. It’s one of my favorites.

  9. Such gorgeous photos are definitely note card material. Love the swans – so romantic. Welcome to the party!

  19. Heh Miss Kathy, how are you doing? You seem better and that makes me very happy.
I have been seeing the note card party button on some other blogs and I’m a bit hesitant to join up on another party, but it looks fun. Oh, the days are just too short as are the weeks!

  20. Hi Kathryn

You asked me if my animal close ups were cropped or zoomed? I used a zoom leans for the photos and shot them at close range. The big cats were in antural habitat enclousures behind glass. The giraffe and koala bear were in the open but the view platfrom was above their habitat to make it ewasier to see them. Taronga is a wonderful zoo!

  21. They are each one perfect for a notecard. Oh how I love the sunset swans…oh and your banner! Happy summer!

  22. Those are so pretty. Have never heard of a note card party but those are all perfect for note cards.
