Tea Shop Quiz!

All things PINK and cheerful are the order of the day each week when Beverly hosts Pink Saturday at her  place on How Sweet the Sound!  Terrific!  But, when one’s home is mostly decked out in greens and golds and burgundy’s – well – sometimes finding my pinks to share can be a challenge.

Not to fear this week, though – I had another lovely visit with my friend, Karan, over at her delightful tea shop called, ACROSS THE POND, where she stocks all things teatime and British!

Karan and I are planning a teatime event at her shop in April focusing on the medicinal qualities of tea and the benefits of essential oils to enhance tea flavors, health, and wellness.

My husband and I have been growing in the use of essential oils over the past year and a half, and have come to enjoy the benefits of wellness, increased vitality, and pain management without chemicals and prescription drugs.  I’m starting to learn of their value in the kitchen, too – and have been enjoying a couple of oil blends in my green tea!  Yum!

Ed and I are now openly sharing what we’ve learned.  Visit our new website HERE to learn more – and even shop and order these quality essential oils for yourself! We’re so glad we took the time to seriously look into this holistic alternative in health and wellness.

Now – about those tea shop pinks I promised you – well, last week Karan had all her green going on in honor of St. Patrick’s Day.  This week, however, the bunnies came out to play with plenty of pinks to be seen in corner and crevice.

Now – pay attention!  There will be a QUIZ after the photo show!

How do you like this darling children’s Easter tea set, displayed with plenty of whimsey on a kid sized cafe table and chair set . . .

And, speaking of tea – I truly wanted to leave the shop with this amazing Fitz & Floyd teapot, creamer, and sugar set!  The details are exquisite!

But, then again – this little “love” teapot was beckoning, along with stationary to write up teatime invitations.

Trees, it would seem, are not just for Christmas.  Easter trees in both purple . . .

And pink . . .

Capture one’s imagination with so many delights – and lights – adorning the branches!

Then, there are the cupcake trees bedecked with faux cupcakes, of course!

Floral arrangements in all their pink splendor are complimented by a darling miniature parasol . . .

While a fanciful pink kitty cat . . .

Waits patiently near a cheerful birdhouse with pinks a’plenty, in the hopes of a feathered friend flying by!

And, lest we forget . . . well . . . the TEA!!

Which little bit of pink did Miss Kathy
have to take home after all?

HA!  Leave a comment with your guess, and when you do you’ll be added to the hat for my GIVE-AWAY this month – my BLOGOVERSARY MONTH!

Yep!  Two years in Blogland and loving every minute of it – only wishing I had more leisure time to enjoy the writing, reading, and application of all the inspiration for good things, beauty, and creativity I’ve found here!  Not to mention, the pleasure of my readers virtual time.

In light of St. Patrick’s big day this month, I’ve set aside a copy of one of my favorite books on the subject of Patrick, Ireland, and Christian history:  How the Irish Saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill.

Of course, the package will come to the winner with a few little extra goodies tossed in for fun and surprises!

TO ENTER: just leave a comment on this post – or any of my posts this month (sorry, there are so few).  On March 31st, I’ll gather all the comments up and pull a name out of a hat with the winner announced soon after.

Many thanks to you all for making my time in Blogland so joyful.  You have all been such a blessing to me and are a constant source of encouragement to continue to grow and use the gifts God has given me!

  1. Well what a choice to have to make out of such a beautiful selection, but I think you may have chosen the parasol.x

  2. HAPPY PINK Saturday, Miss K! I think you bought the pink kitty with the fancy whiskers- haha! Lovely candid photos. Looks like a ‘dangerous’ shop!

  3. I think you got the LOVE teapot and stationery. (At least that’s what I would have gotten.)

I’m going to check out your website. As I was reading, I was hoping you would give more info on the oils, and then you put the web address. Yay!

  4. If I were you, I would have left the tea shop with the little Love teapot. It is soooo sweet!

  5. thinking of her tea shop…I bet she went home with the pink cupcake stand 😉

  6. My guess is the Love tea pot! Loved seeing all the lovelies in pink!

  7. This was a very tough quiz!! Especially because there was more than one thing that I would take home myself!!

I’m going to guess that the pink cat went home with you. Though the birdhouse was adorable, too…

…and the Fitz & Floyd set.

But, my official guess will be the adorable pink kitty. Mostly because I hope you can give him a name and make him part of your menagerie!

  8. Oh, goodness! So many wonderful pink things to choose from.
I know what I would choose, the pink parasol or that adorable bird house.
OK, my guess (just a guess) is the comical pink cat!

I just might come back and change my mind, though.

  9. it sounds like it’s the teapot love and stationary to me… but if not, you still had a fab time it seems to me 🙂
    HapPy PS!
and Palm Sunday [a diff kind of PS!]

  10. Miss Kathy, a delightful post indeed! I don’t know, what did you have to take home for yourself?
I love the tag you made for me…love love love it.
I did a little blog post about it…too pretty not to share.
    Happy Holy Week.

  11. Kathy,

I left a comment last week – not sure if you got it or not!

Anyway, I’m putting in my vote again. I’m going to pick the cute little cat with the pink whiskers. I loved some of the other stuff, too – but I’m hoping it’s the cat, mostly because I would love to know what you named him, and what adventures you might tell us about!

(Have a wonderful Easter – and rivers of resurrection JOY!)

  12. Hi Miss Kathy…….I love all the pretty things you saw… and… I think you would take home the Love teapot and stationery so you could invite some special people for tea…
I would take the gorgeous miniature parasol for myself…
    Happy Easter….
    Barb xx
