The Feminine Frill

Not a day goes by that there is not great reason to lift our voices to Heaven and give thanks to the Lord for all good things and beauty in His blessings!

Like, today, for instance.  Today I have finally realized a goal that – were it not for the call of God and His divine inspiration in creative ideas, I would not be inviting you to the debut of my new ETSY SHOP:

Cameo Impressions

I have a mission statement, of course:

Make a “Cameo Impression” as a

“work of sculptured art raised up & set apart from the rest”

with up-cycled, floral-frill, fashion embellishments

designed with a vintage feminine flair

from cast-away clothes.

take the loss-of-purpose in things around us, and

re-cast them into new stories of good things and beauty!

Through my craft I seek to imitate the Master Artist

~ Jesus Christ ~

Who has raised us up and set us apart to tell His Story:

Enriching others through our lives

with the purposes, goodness, and beauty

of God in the earth!

I’ve been developing my ideas for the venture since the beginning of the summer. I stepped into the nuts and bolts of it all in September, and have now launched the shop in mid-October. Many weeks of collecting, sorting, and experimenting with designs have birthed a handful of beautiful “vintage feminine frills” to help you make a “set apart” fashion statement with handcrafted accessories.

This month is Breast Cancer Awareness Month when everyone is sporting their best PINKS for the cause.  It is also Domestic Abuse Awareness Month with PURPLE taking the stage as the color for the cause.  My friend, Myrna, founded a local non-profit organization called TINA’S FUND in support of the survivors of domestic abuse, while seeking to educate women and young girls to its dangers.  She was moved to action when she lost her dear sister to a violent man ten years ago – a young woman who will never realize any of the goals she might have dreamed of in this life, so cruelly cut short.

Enemies like cancer and bullies are ever roaming about seeking whom they may devour.  As we become educated on living healthier life styles and focus our efforts on making goodness and beauty – with a grateful heart –  our life’s work in whatever way we are inspired, Light can pierce the darkness one feminine frill at a time.

I hope you’ll visit my Cameo Impressions @ Etsy – and please LIKE my Cameo Impressions FACEBOOK Page where I’ll be posting sneak peeks at new creations, inspirational snippets, and news about crafts shows and events where Cameo Impressions will be – making an impression.  In short – beautiful words and images to bless you.

Be blessed and be a blessing!
