Five Minute Fridays: Making Beautiful Things

Blessings of the Easter season and the coming Resurrection Sunday to all – and welcome to Five Minute Fridays – where I am challenged to write for FIVE MINUTES on an assigned word from blog party hostess, Lisa Jo Baker.  Today is Good Friday – and as I ponder the Passion of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ this afternoon – I am also tasked with pondering our Five Minute Friday Word:

Okay – Ready . . . Set . . . GO!

Searching – ever searching for the perfect GLUE!

As an artist/crafter, I am always looking for the next miracle glue for my Floral Frills. Something that will bind to perfection and not be too messy or toxic. I’ve wasted a lot of money on sub-standard glues. But, through all the stumbling about in aisle 16 at the craft store, I have finally narrowed my selection down to the exact perfect glue to bind together all the delicate hand selected and crafted pieces that combine to make something beautiful – with quality and lasting value.

And, so too I meditate on the spiritual glue that binds all my bits and pieces together. The carefully selected bits and the sometimes broken and cast off bits that in the Divine Hands of the Master Artist are Re-purposed and molded together into . . . a BEAUTIFUL THING.

Stuck together – bonded into one glorious Work of Art – by the Blood of Jesus Christ.

New Life – by His Blood.

A Beautiful Thing – by His Blood.

Lasting Quality and Value – Re-purposed – by His Blood.

Whew! Did it!

I hate time constraints. Isn’t it glorious to consider that there will be no time constraints in Heaven? Just endless Eternity in His Presence – bonded to Him like GLUE – One Body in Christ.

Yep – it’s a Beautiful Thing!

  1. Oh Miss Kathy, what an awesome post! LOVED it. Happy Easter to you! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. Stopping by from FMF. Your post brings to mind one of my favorite songs – “Beautiful Things” by Gungor.

    Thanks for sharing today!

  3. Beautiful!! I’m not one to use the multiple punctuation marks because I’m sort of purist., but sometimes I just feel the need.
I love the way your mind created a simple message in such a short time. (I have thought about taking the five minute challenge but I have yet to bite that bullet.

  4. You are so right! God does make beautiful things with his glue!
